Former union minister Jaswant Singh is set to be the NDA’s vice-presidential candidate. Sources said the Opposition alliance would announce his candidature at a meeting scheduled to be held tomorrow. While the BJP has reportedly made its choice known to its allies, the JD(U) and Shiv Sena, which broke ranks with the BJP and supported UPA candidate Pranab Mukherjee for the President’s post, are expected to back Singh also.
