Four days past the Delhi High Court’s order to examine the authenticity of the said Akbarabadi ‘mosque’, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has not taken possession of the site. The ASI wants the excavated portion of land in original shape for carrying out the examination which prompted the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) to press in for demolition of the illegal structure erected by local MLA Shoaib Iqbal.
