NCP gives Congress 48 hrs to resolve differences

Congress leadership is working to devise a mechanism for regular consultations among UPA partners to buy peace with NCP which on Tuesday set a Thursday deadline for its demand for a bigger share in power, saying non-compliance would force it to withdraw not just from the Manmohan Singh government but, possibly, also from the Maharashtra coalition.
