Shahid Siddiqui: Samajwadi Party shot the messenger

Former Samajwadi Party leader Shahid Siddiqui, who was disowned by his party for interviewing Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi, says the SP's move was like shooting the messenger. "It is like curtailing the freedom of expression not only within the party but also freedom of press. I have not spoken to Mulayam Singh ji. But before expelling me they should have asked me as to why I took the interview.
