Plum post for Kerala FM's tainted kin
If favouritism is the name of the game, the Congress-led Kerala government is not playing it right. Already under attack for granting acres of land belonging to Calicut University to leaders of Muslim League, a partner in the ruling United Democratic Front (UDF), the state government has now invited fresh trouble by appointing finance minister K.M. Mani's son-in-law to a plum post. M.P. Joseph, a former IAS officer dismissed from the service on disciplinary grounds, has been appointed industrial relations and project finance consultant, a post created especially for him.
