Centre won’t delete voters on dogma and dialect

Overlooking widespread concern over demographic changes in trouble-torn Assam, the Centre has come out with a bizarre claim that no illegal Bangladeshi nationals are listed as voters in the State and it would not be possible to delete names of 40 lakh doubtful voters on the basis of their religious or linguistic profile as it would be unconstitutional.
