Describing Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s Independence Day address as “listless” and “uninspiring”, the BJP said that the speech failed to provide any directions to the major problems confronting the country. “The dream of touching 12 per cent growth rate seems to be impossible and it looks that it will be less than 5 per cent which is a cause of concern.
