The Centre found itself in a tight spot in the Supreme Court on Thursday as Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy produced a PMO press release to contradict the government's stand that the Ashok Chawla committee's recommendations on distribution of natural resources for commercial exploitation were still under consideration.
