Expressing his concern over the plight of the indigenous people of Assam, BJP MP Chandan Mitra said if concrete steps are not taken at once, the State will soon be under the rule of a party led by the intruders. “The Assamese are aggrieved and scared. It is unfortunate that the people have become a minority in their own land. If the matter is not resolved now, migrants will manage to form the government in the State,” he said.
