A ‘red letter day’ for 917 illegal colonies in the Capital

Announcing with much fanfare regularisation of 917 unauthorised colonies in the Capital, the Delhi Government on Tuesday said it was a “red letter day” for well over 40 lakh people who have been living in fear of demolition for decades as the last regularisation was undertaken during Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s tenure in the early 1980s.
