Delhi Lokayukta criticises ‘ en masse issuance’ of provisional certificates

Delhi Lokayukta Manmohan Sarin on Tuesday recommended to the Lieutenant-Governor that “an advisory be issued to the Minister and Department of Urban Development of the Delhi Government against en masse issuance” of provisional regularisation certificates (PRCs) to unauthorised colonies. He observed that the move was “ill-advised’’ and “should not be resorted to without verification of the eligibility conditions under the regulations”.
