Bharat spends more than India

Consumption in rural India is growing at a faster pace than in cities and towns for the first time in two decades, a new report by credit rating agency Crisil Ltd said. It attributed the growth to a rise in household incomes due to greater non-farm job opportunities and government-initiated employment generation schemes.
