BJP for sugar decontrol, but SP isn't very keen

The BJP is asking the Union government to implement reforms in the sugar sector from October this year. BJP president Nitin Gadkari has urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to take a decision on sugar reforms before a new sugar season starts in October. Gadkari has written a letter to the prime minister asking him to implement the recommendations of Rangarajan committee on sugar deregulation.
