PAC to call CAG; Govt gets jitters

Even as the embattled UPA Government struggles to cope with the burgeoning repercussions of the coal allocation scam with allegations against its Ministers seeking favours for their kin tumbling out thick and fast, it may have to brace for yet another round of scrutiny as the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is planning to seek details on the entire allotment process from the Coal Ministry before summoning its officials in October.
