UPA plays quota card to trump Coalgate

In a clever ploy aimed at dividing  the Opposition and diverting attention from Coalgate, the Government on Wednesday will introduce in Parliament a Bill aimed at amending the Constitution to allow reservation in promotions for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in public services. Samajwadi Party has strongly opposed the Bill, which BSP chief Mayawati is plumping for.
