PSU promised TN mantri’s firm coal at Rs 25 per tonne

The state-owned Puducherry Industrial Promotion Development Corporation (PIPDIC) entered into a memorandum of understanding with J R Power Gen Private Limited, owned by Union minister S Jagathrakshakan's family, to sell coal at a throwaway price of Rs 25 per tonne even before it was allotted a coal block, documents obtained in reply to an RTI application has revealed.
