Notice to Tamil Nadu on petition challenging 69% quota

The Supreme Court on Monday issued notice to the Tamil Nadu government on a petition challenging the constitutional validity of the law providing for 69 per cent quota in employment and educational institutions in the State on the ground that the quota exceeds 50 per cent contemplated in the Mandal Commission judgment.
