Deradicalization drive in the works

Taking a leaf from the US, the UK and Saudi Arabia, which are pursuing de-radicalization programmes to disengage indoctrinated elements from violence, India is discussing a similar effort to wean away "identified" radicals from extremist ideology. The initiative proposes to track preachers of radical doctrine as well as "radicalized" terror accused or convicts who have either been acquitted for want of evidence or have already served their prison term.
