Post-Didi, DMK sniffs power-shift

Sensing an opportunity to claim its deserved place in the ruling UPA following the exit of the Trinamool Congress, the DMK is planning to keep up the pressure on the Centre on various issues and continue to oppose the recent hike in diesel price and the decision to allow FDI in retail trade. The party, which has been sulking of late, is also encouraged by the fact that the Trinamool's walkout has made it the second largest party in the alliance with 18 MPs after the Congress.
