Haryana: The politics of rape

Politics in Haryana stooped to a new low on Tuesday when leaders in the ruling alliance as well as the Opposition indulged in vote bank gimmicks over the rape and suicide of a minor Dalit girl at Sacha Khera village in Jind district. Congress president Sonia Gandhi visited the family of the girl who set herself ablaze after being raped by her neighbours on Saturday.
