Karuna snubs PM, rejects berths

The DMK has rejected fresh overtures by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to accept a berth or two in the Union Cabinet during the weekend reshuffle. As part of his effort to rope in sulking allies, Manmohan Singh had deputed Minister of State in Prime Minister’s Office V Narayanasamy to mollify DMK chief M Karunanidhi.
