DMDK: Vijayakanth grapples revolt within

Vijayakanth, Leader of Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, is facing a revolt from within his party ranks. Two MLAs from Vijayakanth’s DMDK called on Chief Minister Jayalalithaa giving rise to speculation that the party is in crisis. In Tamil Nadu, MLAs from Opposition parties do not approach the Chief Minister or Ministers without the green signal from their party high command.
