Union Minister accused of shielding murder accused

Barely a week after taking the oath of office, newly-inducted Union Minister of State for Rural Development Lal Chand Kataria has landed in trouble with allegations being levelled against him in a year-and-a-half-old murder case. The matter has reached the Supreme Court with the plea of the murder victim’s son for directions for a CBI inquiry.
