Parties pitch for poll vault

Major political parties appear to have gone into election mode, their latest plans indicating that they are preparing for midterm polls. The Congress, UPA supporter Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seem to have started the groundwork for polls well before 2014 even though Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has repeatedly asserted that his government will fulfill its mandate for the full five years.
