BJP questions hasty CBI appointment

Government’s decision to pick Ranjit Sinha as new CBI chief on the eve of tabling of the Select Committee’s report on Lokpal Bill, which recommends a collegium for such an appointment, has drawn strong protests from the BJP. The party on Friday asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to keep the appointment in abeyance.
