Taliban has a free run

The dastardly attack on leading Pakistani journalist and Geo TV’ senior anchorperson Hamid Mir is yet another vicious attempt by extremist elements in that country to quell the voice of sanity and terrorise people into submission. It is also a chilling warning to all the intrepid individuals that stand up to the Taliban's brutal ways. Mr Mir had a providential escape. But not many in the blood-steeped environs of Pakistan have been so lucky.
