Cash transfer during high inflation not okay: CPM

CPM has opposed the Congress-led UPA government's direct cash transfer scheme and has said it would increase malnutrition and hunger in the country. The CPM polit bureau issued a strongly-worded statement criticising the direct cash transfer scheme and said the UPA government was 'obsessively cutting down' subsidies to the working people.
