Yeddyurappa quits BJP, targets Gadkari in letter

The BJP’s first chief minister in southern India, B S Yeddyurappa, on Friday took two decisive steps towards severing his four-decade-old association with the party in Karnataka by resigning from his position as a BJP legislator and from the primary membership of the BJP, ahead of the December 9 official launch of his own Karnataka Janata Party (KJP).
