The United Progressive Alliance (UPA) is bracing for a possible defeat on the floor of the Rajya Sabha in the crucial vote on FDI in multibrand retail next week. With little or no hope of roping in MP Sachin Tendulkar, who will hopefully be scoring runs at the Eden Gardens, the Congress is making sure that even outliers like actress Rekha will be present when the matter comes to vote following a discussion under Rule 168.
