IPS seniors smart at short shrift

Resentment is brewing in the top echelons of the IPS due to controversial appointments as well as vacancies in key Central Police Organisations, including the Intelligence Bureau. The officials are particularly enraged over the manner in which four senior-most officials were given “humiliating” assignments to make way for Syed Asif Ibrahim to take over as Director of Intelligence Bureau, the only IPS posting where the incumbent enjoys a four-star status.
