Guj Poll: Record-breaking 68% turnout

Despite not having an emotional issue to fire up voters, a record-breaking number of people lined up to cast their vote in the first phase of Gujarat's assembly elections on Thursday. Close to 68% of the 1.82 crore voters in Saurashtra, south Gujarat and parts of Ahmedabad thronged polling stations in what is seen as a 'Narendra Modi versus the rest' battle.
