Rehman Malik’s visit has been disastrous

Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rehman Malik's just concluded three-day visit to India has been one of the most disastrous diplomatic initiatives which that country has taken in recent months to supposedly boost bilateral relations. After making a slew of indiscreet comments that only served to offend and outrage this country — and this sentiment has been reflected in the manner in which the Opposition took the Government to task in Parliament on Monday — Mr Malik offered his equally injudicious parting shot on Sunday.
