BJP delegation meets President Pranab Mukherjee over Delhi gang rape case

NEW DELHI: As the government faced Opposition heat over its handling of protests in the Capital, BJP on Monday tried to step up pressure for a special session of Parliament on crimes against women by seeking President Pranab Mukherjee's intervention. The President assured the party that he would convey its demand to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
