Spectrum: Scrap floor prices

Spectrum pricing is back on the government's agenda, with the empowered group of ministers boldly passing the buck to the Cabinet, but recommending up to 50% reduction in the sky-high reserve prices that had been recommended earlier. The Cabinet should show not only more courage but also more sense. The government is carrying out auctions as the method of allocation ordered by the Supreme Court bench that cancelled 122 licences last February.
