One voice, one message

The Union Government's recent efforts to reach out to the Opposition regarding the crisis across the Line of Control could not have come a day sooner. At a time when the country is faced with a serious threat to its national security, it is imperative for the political class to come together to put forth a strong, bipartisan response. Towards that end, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh did well to finally break his trademark silence and call upon Ms Sushma Swaraj and Mr Arun Jaitley, Leaders of the Opposition in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha respectively, on Monday, and assure them that they would be kept in the loop.
