Andhra ministers against splitting state, warn of stir

Four Andhra ministers lobbying against the creation of a separate state, hinted that if Congress agreed to the demand for Telangana then they will step up their agitation for a united Andhra. “We were told that the only agitation in the state appeared to be by pro-Telangana groups,” said T G Venkatesh after meeting senior Congress leaders Gulam Nabi Azad and Vayalar Ravi who oversee Andhra Pradesh affairs in the party.
