Row over Tipu Sultan varsity in Karnataka

The Union Minority Affairs Ministry’s proposal to start a university for minorities in the name of Tipu Sultan in Srirangapatna near Mysore has kicked up a controversy. As Union Minister for Minority Affairs Rehman Khan stirred a hornets’ nest, the BJP did not waste any time to express its opposition. The party made it clear that it was against the idea itself.
