When one sees faith move more than a million people to one common destination, even the non-believer is forced to acknowledge in reverence this country's hoary, timeless traditions. The ongoing Maha Kumbh at Allahabad is a sure testimony of that fact. Billed as the largest gathering of people in the world, the Maha Kumbh which saw a congregation of over one crore pilgrims on Makar Sankranti day early this week, is evidence that despite the new-found affluence, people’s attitude towards spirituality and matters of faith has remained strong and unshakeable.
