Reds use brutal tactics to create fear psychosis

Following the encounter of security forces with Naxals on January 7 this year in the Karmatiya forests of Latehar in Jharkhand, the bodies of a few slain CRPF personnel were found to be booby-trapped with improvised explosive devices (IEDs). When the CRPF tried to recover the bodies of their colleagues with local help, four civilians were killed in the IED explosion. Recently, the Naxals employed the most inhuman and brutal tactic: they placed 2.5 kg of explosives inside the stomach of one of the martyred jawans.
