To send message to Congress, Jats, activists, Muslims hold own shivirs

As the Congress sat through closed-door sessions brainstorming on the party’s road ahead, several communities held demonstrations and parallel chintan shivirs. Muslims, farmers, Rajputs, Jats and Rajasthan University teachers protested and drew the attention of the Congress to issues concerning them. A meeting of social activists headed by RTI activist and National Advisory Council member Aruna Roy was held in Gopalpura in Churu to discuss the status of several projects including MNREGA and cash transfers.
