The Union home ministry has advised against creation of a separate state for Telangana, warning the government that such a decision would create huge surge of demands from elsewhere which will be very difficult to contain. In a note sent for the consideration of the cabinet committee on parliamentary affairs about a week ago, the home ministry, said sources, has suggested that from security perspective creation of a Telangana state should not be considered.
