School for scandal

It's not too often the law catches up with the rich and powerful in India. The script hasn't quite played out that way for INLD chief Om Prakash Chautala and his son Ajay Chautala — both Haryana MLAs — who've been sentenced to 10 years' jail in a corruption case. It should serve as a lesson to the political class that the special CBI court handed out this tough verdict to a former five-time chief minister and those linked to him in connection with a teachers' recruitment scam.
