SG Nariman quits after tiff with minister

Rohinton F Nariman resigned as solicitor general of India on Monday, bringing to an end an innings in the government marked by serious differences with law minister Ashwani Kumar. The 56-year-old senior advocate had grave differences of opinion with the law minister over representing the government in certain cases outside Delhi and there was a heated exchange — not necessarily on a point of law — between the two last week, according to insiders.
