Naxal: Policy drift cannot pass off as strategic patience

We have heard the following statements on internal security ad nauseum in recent times: Naxalism/Maoism is the most serious challenge confronting the country; a red corridor has been established from Pashupati in Nepal to Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh; more security forces and civilians are killed and wounded in the Red Corridor annually than in  J&K and the North-East put together; the internal threat to security is graver than the external.
