India shines at Oscars

With Taiwanese director Ang Lee's India-centric adventure drama, Life of Pi, picking up four Oscars at the Academy Awards function on Sunday, there is no looking away from the fact that the world has now acquired a taste for cinematic narratives that are rooted in this country. The stunning 3D saga that features an Indian boy and a Royal Bengal tiger as the protagonists won Lee his second Best Director award as well as bagged the awards for Best Cinematography, Best Original Score and Best Visual Effects.
