BJP tears into government on JPC in AW deal

As the UPA government sought to stump the Opposition by forming a joint parliamentary committee (JPC) to probe the AgustaWestland chopper deal, BJP leader Arun Jaitley questioned why an FIR has not been registered. The leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha said the JPC formation was "an exercise in futility" and a "diversionary tactics" in the absence of a proper legal case.
