Ram Setu: Sangh Parivar threatens nationwide stir

The Sangh Parivar is up in arms against the government's decision to go ahead with the Sethusamudram project. While the BJP raised the issue in Parliament on Wednesday, the RSS and the VHP have threatened to launch a nationwide agitation to save the Ram Setu. The BJP, which was pitchforked into the centre stage of the country's polity in the wake of the Ram Janmabhoomi agitation in the early 1990s, decided to take up the issue after its parliamentary party met on Wednesday morning.
