Only 42,800? That’s rich!

Much has been said and written — mostly favourably — about the budget for 2013-14 presented by Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram. His heavily ornamented speech led the electronic media to enthusiastically vote for his budget in less than an hour after he had presented it. The print media followed suit.
