Good cop, bad cop

Yesterday, both Houses of Parliament were adjourned with MPs raising slogans over issues ranging from the killing of a police officer in UP to the beating of a woman by policemen in Punjab. But when these specific episodes are considered together, it becomes obvious that politicians themselves play a key role in the simultaneous brutalisation and emasculation of India's police force.
