Except allies, parties skip DMK’s meeting

A mega show planned by the DMK here to project itself as the champions of Sri Lankan Tamils turned out to be a damp squib with all the political parties — barring allies Congress, National Conference and NCP — spurning its invite to attend a conference on the issue. The only saving grace was the presence of Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad at the seminar chaired by DMK chief M Karunanidhi's son M K Stalin.
